Safety, Disaster Prevention, and Earthquake Guidelines
To provide guests with a completely safe and comfortable stay, the hotel has established a comprehensive safety management system. We encourage guests to fully enjoy the hotel’s facilities and amenities while also remaining mindful of their personal safety and disaster-prevention measures.
Disaster prevention facilities
Hotel Safety and Disaster Prevention Facilities:
1.Central Monitoring System: The building is equipped with an intelligent building monitoring system that oversees power, air conditioning, and energy supply, as well as complete surveillance at disaster monitoring points.
2.Emergency Lighting System: Dual-purpose lighting for normal and emergency use is installed in public areas, guest rooms, and corridors to provide illumination in the event of a complete power outage.
3.Emergency Generator: The hotel is equipped with an emergency power supply system that can quickly support the electrical system within seconds in case of a main power failure.
4.Emergency Staircases: Located on both sides of the guest floors, these staircases provide a safe escape route to the first floor in case of a disaster.
5.Smoke Control Zones: In the event of heavy smoke, fire doors automatically close to isolate smoke, allowing guests more time to evacuate safely.
6.Guest Room Disaster Prevention Equipment: Each guest room is equipped with a safety door handle, door viewer, fireproof door, smoke detector, fire sprinkler, emergency flashlight, and smoke mask.
Fire & Emergency Procedures
1.Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the hotel. Please do not smoke in the guest rooms.
2.Upon entering your room, please carefully review the emergency evacuation map. Confirm your room location, the nearest emergency exits, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and alarm points. Also, check the location of the emergency flashlight and ensure it is in proper working condition.
Guidance in Case of Fire
1.Stay calm and immediately call the front desk to report the location of the fire.
2.Follow the emergency exit signs and use the emergency staircases to leave the building; do not use the elevator.
3.If you cannot leave the room, close the door to prevent the fire from spreading rapidly.
4.Turn off air conditioning to avoid the spread of smoke.
5.Press the alarm to notify evacuation and rescue personnel immediately.
6.When leaving, close your room door to prevent the fire from spreading, and take your room key card with you to avoid being unable to re-enter your room if needed.
7.Before opening doors or exit doors, check their temperature and be aware of fire and smoke on the other side.
8.When evacuating, wet a towel and cover your nose and mouth to avoid inhaling smoke. In dense smoke, stay close to the wall and maintain a low position below 30 cm while escaping.
9.If you cannot leave, fill the bathtub with water for emergency use and seal door gaps and vents with wet towels to prevent smoke inhalation. Place visible items outside the window to indicate your location to rescue personnel.
Guidance in Case of Earthquake
Taiwan is located at the junction of the Eurasian and Philippine tectonic plates, making earthquakes frequent. Earthquake disasters may cause ground fissures, building collapses, and indirectly trigger fires. To ensure your safety, please observe the following:
1.Stay calm and do not panic. Keep away from glass windows. Earthquakes may last for several seconds or even minutes, so do not immediately try to leave the area.
2.Stay away from televisions, glass, large furniture, and other items that may fall and cause injury.
3.Keep your room door and emergency exit doors open to prevent them from becoming jammed or deformed.
4.Turn off all electrical appliances in the room. If using devices such as electric kettles or irons, unplug them immediately.
5.Protect your head with a pillow and take shelter under a sturdy table, in a corner, or under a well-supported door frame.
6.If you smell gas, do not use fire, as this may cause an explosion and fire. Open doors and windows to ventilate immediately.
7.If the room phone is not working, try using your mobile phone. Always carry your phone with you, as signal reception may help rescue personnel locate you.
8.Listen to disaster reports on the radio at all times.
9.The hotel emergency broadcast system will inform you whether evacuation of the building is necessary.
10.Do not rush toward emergency exits or staircases, as crowding may cause injury. Do not use elevators during evacuation.
11.When evacuating, stay close to walls to avoid losing your sense of direction. Check for fallen or obstructing objects before entering any area.
12.If emergency exits are blocked, return to your room and signal rescuers by waving visible objects out of the window.
13.Do not attempt to escape by jumping from the building.
