Taipei 101 Shopping Center
The Metropolitan Plaza on the 4th floor showcases a well-designed open space spanning over 500 ping (approximately 1,650 square meters), with an impressive 40-meter-high ceiling. Connected by skybridges to the Taipei World Trade Center and ATT 4 FUN, and located near the Grand Hyatt Taipei, the mall offers excellent accessibility and convenience.
Shenkeng Old Street
The town is also known for four local specialties—tea, tofu, bamboo shoots, and black pork. Visitors can explore historic sites such as the Shenkeng Huang Family Yong’an Residence, listed among Taiwan’s Top Ten Historic Residences; stroll scenic tea and bamboo trails; dine at garden-style restaurants like Arouyang; or visit the nearby ferry crossing, part of the Danlan Old Trail and the Tea Trade Route to Dadaocheng.
Keelung MiaoKou Night Market
Signature snacks include Ding bian cuo (noodle soup), tempura, Taiwanese meat soup, oyster omelets, and braised pork rice, along with seafood, roasted chicken, and shaved ice with fruit. With long opening hours—often until 2–3 AM—the market attracts both locals and tourists. In addition to food, visitors can shop for affordable daily goods and clothing.
Shifen Old Street (Sky Lanterns)
A unique feature of Shifen Old Street is its integration with the railway tracks, where visitors can stroll alongside the tracks and watch trains pass—a photogenic experience. The street is lively with eateries and sky lantern shops, where visitors can choose colorful lanterns, write wishes with a calligraphy brush, and release them with staff guidance. Watching the lanterns rise offers a memorable cultural experience.

Yehliu Geopark (Queen's Head II)
The Queen’s Head, the park’s iconic landmark, was originally a mushroom-shaped rock. Between 1962 and 1963, fractures at the top changed its form, giving it a long neck and delicate features that resemble Queen Elizabeth II, hence its name. Decades of natural weathering have made the neck thinner, and a reinforcement project is underway to preserve this famous rock.
